Hello everyone

Have you enjoyed watching wild birds?

This winter, we visited Izumi in Kyushu, southern part of Japan, to watch cranes which emigrate there to winter from Siberia. We can get six species of cranes wintering there, except for Japanese Crane that breeds in Hokkaido, northern part of Japan.

Before dawn, we got to the field with our heavy camera. It weighs over ten kilograms with some attachments. We expected to get some crane families across the sunrise. We focused our camera on the range of the mountains. It was getting bright. Nice sunrise! Yes, of course, we could get some crane families flying, crying each other. Beautiful!

After the sunrise, we tried to find Demoiselle Crane, which is famous because they emigrate from Tibet to India beyond the Himalayas. And some of them visit Japan.

Fortunately, we could find her among many Hooded Cranes and could take her wonderful pictures.
We also could watch a Sandhill Crane and a Common Crane. And at last,
We could find out a Siberian White Crane, wandering with three White-naped cranes

  We had really fantastic moment!
Have lots of fun through the winter!
  See you!
